We have put our GAA differences to one side to welcome Emma Boyle from Glenties to the Physio Éireann family as our new Class Instructor. 

Emma has settled back in Donegal after spending time seeing what the world has to offer; having lived both in the US and Australia she spent the last few years in Dublin before deciding to make the big move home to Donegal in January 2017. Emma became interested in exercise and rehabilitation after sustaining her own serious knee injury. As she recovered from an ACL tear she found herself becoming more and more interested in sports injury management. This led her to the National Training Centre in Dublin where she obtained a National Qualification in Neuromuscular Physical Therapy and Orthopaedic Sports Massage. Emma then went on to complete her Pilates training with the Sports Fitness Academy and obtained her pitch side first aid qualification.

Over the last few years Emma has developed her knowledge and skills working with a variety of sports clubs. Firstly, in Dublin, she provided rehab services and pitch side first aid to the Blackrock Rugby Team and since returning home is working with all age levels within Naomh Conaill GAA. Emma has also worked with athletes in cycling clubs and athletics and will be bringing this experience and knowledge to her work in Physio Éireann.

As our new class instructor Emma will of course be delivering our Clinical Pilates classes but… we are excited to announce that her arrival allows us to introduce some new services to our Donegal clinics:

  • 1-1 or Small Group Pilates

    For anyone who would like the benefit of a personal class, Emma will be offering 1:1 Pilates. This allows for individual attention, that can focus on problem areas for the client, or for anyone who is apprehensive about joining a group this can be the perfect introduction to Pilates. We can also offer this service for small groups of 3-4 clients.

  • Sports Massage

    Pre-event to improve flexibility and assist in optimal performance or post event for recovery.

  • Holistic & Relaxation Massage

    Gentle soft tissue massage to help relieve tension and reduce stress.

  • Deep tissue Massage

    Firm pressure used to reduce muscle tightness and improve flexibility.
