Local girl Kelly Harron was born and raised in Donegal Town and we are delighted to welcome her home and to the Physio Éireann team. Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster. During her time in Belfast, Kelly obtained a wide range of experience within the National Health Service. She has gained valuable experience within the hospital setting. This included working on acute orthopaedic wards where Kelly’s role involved rehabbing patients in the days following both elective surgeries; such as total hip and knee replacement, and more complicated unplanned surgeries such as internal fixations for leg and ankle fractures. From this she has a deep understanding of what patients have gone through during their hospital stay and is well placed to continue rehabilitation in the outpatient setting. In addition to this Kelly has experience of working in a MSK Physiotherapy department within the NHS where she was responsible for a varied caseload of patients from back and neck pain to shoulder and foot complaints.
Kelly has completed her Clinical Pilates teaching with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute and teaches classes at our Donegal Clinic. Away from her professional life Kelly has always had a keen interest in sport, playing basketball at both club and college. Coming from a sporty background, she appreciates the importance of effective rehabilitation and returning to activity as quickly as possible. We know Donegal Town Basketball Club will be delighted to have her back home again.
Here at Physio Éireann we pride ourselves in providing the highest quality of care and with Kelly on the team we know our patients are in safe hands. You can book your appointment with Kelly in our Donegal Clinic now. 0851707997
