Ciara first studied Health Science and Physiology in the Institute of Technology Sligo before moving to the UK and completing a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Coventry University.
While in the UK Ciara gained valuable experience working within the National Health Service in both the outpatient and inpatient setting, including working with patients recovering from stroke, vascular surgery and helping elderly clients recover from their inpatient stay in preparation for returning to their homes.
Away from work Ciara is a marathon runner and not just for fun, but competes in all distance runs, winning a local marathon and competing in others around the country. Her own experience and knowledge in athletics puts her in a unique position to understand injury and rehab management from both the perspective of the physio and the client.
Ciara joined Physio Éireann in Oct 2020 and now provides a specialist service to clients with Arthritis and elderly rehabilitation in the local nursing home.
